Welcome to the Chatham Citizen Corps website. The mission of the Chatham Citizen Corps Council is as follows: the members will assist every willing person in Chatham County to prepare for disasters, and provide local training to those who wish to assist their neighbors lead safe and healthy lives. The Council will also provide an opportunity for all people to volunteer in our community to the best of their abilities.

To give Americans guidance on how to prepare our homes, our neighborhoods, as well as safety precautions at work, and in public spaces, The National Crime Prevention Council, along with support from the Department of Justice, provides crime, disaster preparedness techniques and information on terrorism.
